The Popty Stout is a wood-only cook stove, generating a powerful 5kW heat output, it is sure to keep you warm and well fed! This is the convection version of the Popty Ciwb. Perfect for cooking pizzas, crusty bread, bakes and stews. Inspired by its Welsh heritage, the Popty range – Welsh for oven – is a wonderful addition to the Chilli Penguin family. Who wouldn’t want to pop something in a popty? It is an old word possibly originating from the old shared bakehouses. “Pobi”, bake and “Ty”, house. We love the association with shared baking and perhaps stretching a hand back through the history to other generations who also cooked on solid fuel.
